Adaptability? 145 Atk 140 Sp.Atk?

image

Lucario @ Lucarionite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 60 HP / 92 Def / 108 SAtk / 4 SDef / 244 Spd
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Protect
- Aura Sphere
- Flash Cannon

OK so I took this spread from EggyEmprorium and provided it with good team support to set up Nasty Plot and sweep through teams.

EVs. The spread is used to outspeed regular Gengar, Scarf Machamp, and Garchomp, and to always survive Jolly Garchomp Earthquake”

+2 with adaptability wins games

  • Easily gets rid of Kang, Tyranitar and Gardevoir
  • + 2 gets rid of almost anything… Garchomp Rotom H Rotom W

so I gave it good team support such as Aerodactyl to get rid of Charizard & Talonflame, Sky Drop on Aerodactyl ensures a nasty plot with Lucario if you get a good lead match up and Aerodactyl is able to Wide Guard to keep Lucario from taking any Earthquakes,

Amoonguss was also part of the team being able to rage powder and unsure that Lucario sets up nasty plot… yes having Lucario and Amoonguss made my team pretty weak to fire Pokemon one major threat being Talonflame

Whats a good counter to Talonflame that isn’t Rotom W…. Rotom Heat! having Aerodactyl and Rotom H on the team this core of 4 can handle the Meta pretty well.

I tied for 51st place in North America… not bad but I could of done better since my rating at one point was 1786, played 59 games. I went 17-3 on my first day (did pretty good) on my second day I went 10-10 (definitely did not play my best) and brought it back on the third day somewhat and then did pretty terrible between my 10th-15th matches of that day. Honestly I did better than what I expected. I do regret bringing Mega Venusaur I only used it 4 times and lost twice with it, bringing amoonguss would have been the better choice. even though I did not like the way my team matched up against rain teams I only went up against 2 of those mega Venusaur definitely winning me one of those. My team consisted of Mega Kang, Spec’s Gardevoir, Scarf’d Salamence, Rotom H, Aegislash, Mega Venusaur.

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze (Drought)
EVs: 100 Def/ 252 SAtk / 156 Spd
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower/OverHeat
- Solar Beam
- Ancientpower/Air Slash
- Protect

This is a set that I got from Darkeness Keegan B. so basically this is my review.

I don’t know if this is the ideal set but if you ever get caught going up against a Jolly Garchomp you at least have a 50% chance of living. Which is decent and it may come clutch, which it has for me a couple of times.

Charizard Y has a lot of fire power, but you have to pair it up with a lighting rod/wide guard support or else it wont last. either that or have things to threaten out Aerodactyls/Garchomps/Tyranitars/Manectrics.

Also the rise of Charizard Y has brought up a lot of Mega Manectrics.

1 more thing… most people also carry Pokemon that have effects on the weather. Usually Pollitoads and Tyranitars so having a Prankster Pokemon with Sunny Day is a good option as well.

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod/Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Protect

This is an AMAZING Mega-Pokemon.
HP Ice gives it the power to OHKO non bulky Garchomp sets 69% of the time and a guaranteed OHKO on Salamence. and 2HKO the uncommon bulky Hydreigon set.

Paired up with with a good Wide Guard support Pokemon like Aerodactyl makes for a pretty good lead. He can also be a good Azumarill support Pokemon Before mega evolving due to his Lightning Rod ability. He also provides you with Intimidate support.

Manectric’s thunderbolt also has a 38% chance to OHKO Azumarill (212HP/36SpD), 50% chance to OHKO 4HP Charizard Y, as well as a guaranteed OHKO against Aerodactyl unless of course they carry a Focus Sash.

I chose Flamethrower over Overheat just because of the accuracy. Also I think Amoonguss is also a 2HKO with either move so why not.

Salamence AKA Bad Luck Brian

image

I had the worst luck today went from 1640 to 1480 in Special Battles!
I lost 4 games because of F’ing misses. Hydro pump, Overheat, Dracometeor, I was so pissed… games that I should have won with ease.

Hydro Pump missed twice on a Talonflame today which cost me a match,
after that in a 1v1 against a Chandelure I was locked into Draco Meteor and had already used 1/5 of my Draco Meteors…

Turn 1: so I managed to hit the first move Chandelure lived with 35% health it heat waved
Turn 2: I missed Draco Meteor and he got another Heat Wave off and I had used 3/5 and was locked into DM
Turn 3: I missed again (I put my 3ds down and leaned back in my chair) but for some reason he used Trick Room that turn
Turn 4: I knew he was gonna protect in order to avoid the next Draco Meteor (which he did) and I was still locked into DM
Turn 5: I lost because fucking struggle didn’t do enough damage and fainted myself because of the recoil

Pyroar missed Over Heat on a Aegislash as well…

Azumarill Destroyer of Worlds

image

Its such a pain in the ass to deal with, well at least the belly drum set is. Azumarill paired up with Kang is so annoying and common. Do not let it set up belly drum, it will wreck your whole team.

Azumarill (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 36 SDef / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Protect

If you are having trouble with Aerodactyl and Tyranitar you should definitely find a spot for it on your team.
